New Instore: Vegan Ben & Jerries, Cloudy Lemonade Jelly & More

Non-Dairy Ben & Jerry's: The much anticipated vegan Ben & Jerry's has finally hit the shelves in the UK. There are three flavours available: Peanut Butter & Cookies, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Chunky Monkey. So far spotted in Tesco - for £5.50p.

Hartley's Cloudy Lemonade Jelly: Spotted in two flavours; Elderflower Lemonade or Original Lemonade. Spotted at Tesco - £0.70p each.

Tesco Black Forest Profiteroles: It's that time of year when all the festive party food starts to appear instores. Most of it is looking similar to previous years but I did spot these new Black Forest Profiteroles from Tesco. Hopefully there will be plenty more new products in the run up to Christmas. £2.00p at Tesco.

Nakd Limited Edition Lemon Drizzle: I know this flavour has been around for awhile but this is the first time I've seen it instore and in a multipack. £2.79p at Tesco.

Tesco Caramel Latte Cookies: An interesting new cookie flavour from Tesco and a bargain price too. Check out the review from A Review a Day. £0.99p at Tesco.

MOMA Porridge Almond Butter & Salted Caramel: A new flavour from MOMA Porridge that is dairy and gluten free. £1.29p at Tesco.

Vitalite Dairy Free Coconut: I only use Vitalite at home so I'm keen to give this coconut variety a try. Available at most supermarkets - spotted at Asda for £1.00p.

Müller Light Crumble Inspired: A limited edition Rhubarb Crumble & Custard Flavour Yogurt from Müller. Spotted at Iceland and Asda - £0.68p each.

Ben & Jerry's Berry Neighbourly: Also new from Ben & Jerry's is this Berry Neighbourly flavour described as - vanilla ice cream with cookie & blueberry swirls & white chocolate chunks. Spotted at Tesco - £4.20p.

Carthy & Black Yorkshire Gin Cream Liqueur: Made using an unique blend of Yorkshire cream and gin from the award winning Slingsby Gin. Spotted at Asda.

Thanks so much to Lucy W. for the last five photos and for such great finds. If you've spotted any new products instore then I would love to hear from you - send any photos to grocerygems@gmail.com or @grocerygems.

New Review: Hartley's 10 Calorie Jelly - Key Lime Pie, Black Forest Gateau & Lemon Cheesecake

Hartley's 10 Calorie Jelly pots are perfect for anyone trying to watch their calorie intake and it's great to see that they have added three dessert inspired flavours to their fruity line up. The three new flavours are; Lemon Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie and Black Forest Gateau.

Black Forest Gateau: I don't know how Hartley's have done it but there is a definite taste of cake with a fruity taste of cherry coming through too. It's sweetly satisfying and would be perfect with extra fresh cherries cut on top.

Lemon Cheesecake & Key Lime Pie: I found these two flavours very similar so I'll just review them together. They both have a decent citrus flavour that is similar to that found in sugar free lemon and lime jelly. The only real difference is that both also have a creamy edge to them that you don't get in the regular jelly.

Overall I enjoyed these new jelly flavours from Hartley's. I've complained before on this blog about the boring range of jelly flavours in the UK so it's nice to find something a bit different. They're fairly expensive but I've never seen any other jelly flavours like these.

Grocery Gems Review: Hartley's 10 Calorie Jelly - Dessert Flavours

RATING: Black Forest Gateau: 8 out of 10, Lemon /Key Lime Pie: 7 out of 10.
Buy it again?: I'd buy the Black Forest Gateau again.

New Review: Kellogg's Unicorn Froot Loops

A quick post about this awesome limited edition cereal from Kellogg's - Unicorn Froot Loops. Seriously how cute is this packaging? I'm never throwing this box away!

Cute colouring on back of the box.

The cereal itself is the same as the regular Kellogg's Froot Loops (the version in the UK at least) but with different colours - pink, purple and orangeish instead of the previous colours.

It's not actually that different and it's a shame there are no extra marshmallow pieces but I understand that sugar content is always a concern for kids cereals in the UK. The flavour is sweet but very natural tasting - nothing at all like the American version. There's a hint of fruit that makes them very moreish - I've been eating them as a straight up snack without milk!

Overall, these limited edition Unicorn Froot Loops are super cute and fun and I'll definitely be picking up another box before they disappear.

Grocery Gems Review: Kellogg's Unicorn Froot Loops

Degustabox 'Back To School' Box Review: Surprise Foodie Box & Discount Code

The August Degustabox arrived whilst the whole family was still at home - and everyone was eager to take the first peak inside! This box had a 'Back to School' theme and contained a mix of favourite brands, as well as a few new brands and drinks, that are perfect for packed lunches and snacks.

About Degustabox & Discount Code8TL75

Degustabox is a monthly foodie subscription service that sends out a range of specially selected foodie products. There's always a great mix of new products that I haven't tried before, as well as plenty of treats from more established brands. Each Degustabox costs £12.99, delivery costs are included in the price, and there is no fixed contract involved - you can cancel at any time.

The discount code is a massive £7 off, making the first box only £5.99 delivered! Check out the Degustabox website below and enter the new discount code: 8TL75

Here's a round up of all the products I received:

Seabrook Crisps: A multipack of classic crisp flavours from Seabrooks - Sea Salted, Sea Salt & Vinegar and Cheese & Onion. The kids loved these, especially my eldest who prefers crinkle cut crisps. They're crunchy and filling.

Bahlsen PICK UP! Black 'n White: Bahlsen is a brand that features fairly regularly in Degustabox. The Black 'n White biscuits are rich chocolate biscuits with a white chocolate filling that are unique and tasty. They're all individually wrapped which makes them extra useful too.

Hellman's Real Mayonnaise: I usually buy 'Light' mayo but it's useful to have this classic version for the kids' sandwiches (my sons are both super skinny so I'm always looking for ways to bulk them up!).

Jelly Squeeze: These are a fun way to have jelly on the go or in a packed lunch (no need for a spoon). Even better they're gluten and lactose free, and also suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The choice of flavours was great for us too as I have one orange fan and one blackcurrant fan.

Light Bites Popped Chips: Light Bites are made using soya and chickpea (no potatoes here) to create popped chips with under 100 calories per pack. They're gluten free, vegetarian friendly and free from artificial colours, preservative and flavours. I received two gorgeous flavours: Pesto & Sundried Tomato and Sweet & Smoky Chipotle. Both were delicious - full of flavour and very moreish.

Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce: I liked the look of this when I first unpacked the Degustabox but I didn't realise that this would become one of my favourite products in a long time. It's a mild and tangy sauce that adds a dash of pure jalapeno flavour to any dish. I'm loving this on my lunch time salad but I've basically been adding a dash to most meals. My kids love it too and even added a sprinkle to their spaghetti dinner! I'll be buying this one again and again.

Twisted Halo: An intriguing combination of coconut water, ginger and vodka. The coconut water adds a naturally sweet taste (there are no added sugars), that's perfect with the warming ginger flavour and hint of zesty lime.

Refreshers Softies: I'm not the biggest fan of Refreshers as a sweet, the flavour is a bit too 'chalky' for my tastes. However, fans will be pleased that these new softies have the same classic Refreshers flavour but in a soft and chewy texture. I do prefer this texture but the flavour is still not for me.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Big Taste: I reviewed one of the large versions from the Cadbury 'Big Taste' range in a previous Degustabox review - HERE. It's great to see these available in smaller versions too as I really enjoyed the flavour but I wouldn't buy the bigger bars very often.

Cadbury CurlyWurly Squirlies: Degustabox often contains brand new products and it's always exciting to find one from Cadbury! These bitesize Curly Wurly pieces are perfect for sharing. They don't look very attractive (at all!) but I can confirm that they're just as tasty as the regular Curly Wurly classic.

Orangina Summer Bottles: I must admit I didn't realise that these bottles had bikini designs on them until I was taking the photos. They certainly give them a summery vibe... Funnily enough I haven't had Orangina for years so I enjoyed trying it again. Both versions are very fruity and refreshing but I think I prefer their original designs.

Maggi Fusion Noodles: These noodles are interesting because they contain a little sachet of veggies as well spices and oil. The flavours are actually quite mild but the whole thing is very tasty for an instant noodle.

Overall I was pleased with the 'Back to School' selection in the August Degustabox - there were plenty of useful products as well as tasty treats. This month, I especially enjoyed the Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce, Seabrook Crisps and Cadbury chocolate. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this months Degustabox in the comments below.
