Pepperidge Farm Pizza Flavoured Finz! (Tesco)

I've noticed a lot of new products from the Pepperidge Farm range at Tesco. These Finz have previously been available through US import stores and I'm pleased to see them stocked by a mainstream supermarket. The whole range is on special offer at the moment and I couldn't resist picking up these Pizza flavour baked crackers for £1.00.

I don't know why there aren't more Pizza flavoured crisps and snacks already - it's such an easy flavour (it's really just cheese, tomato and herbs) and one that is very appealing to kids. I like the look of the little goldfish shaped snacks with their bright orange colouring. They're completely covered with flavour - Pepperidge Farm did not hold back with the Pizza seasoning!

The good news is that this flavouring is a pretty decent reproduction of a cheese & tomato Pizza. The initial taste comes from the cheddar cheese used - they're very cheesy but in a good way. There's not much in the way of herby flavour but there is plenty of tomato to fill in the gap and also a delicious garlic to finish. The flavour is a cross between a pizza and a garlic bread! Even though these are described as baked crackers, they are not too dry, but definitely not too greasy either. The main negative with these is that there is almost too much seasoning, and they do start to get quite salty very quickly.

Also check out a review of one of the newest flavours from Pepperidge Farm -  the Cheddar Bacon Goldfish Puffs on The Impulsive Buy.

  1. These sound so tasty! They look disturbingly orange though...like a David Dickinson of the snacks world lol.

    1. lol that's a great comparison! They really are bright orange, I was quite shocked when I opened the packaging. American's don't hold back on the seasoning that's for sure :)

  2. I recall some Pizza flavour crisps years ago now and they were delicious but for the life of me cannot remember the brand or name of them! They were maize type snacks, triangular shaped with 'waffle' like holes in. Very pale in colour with flecks of the green and red tomato and herb seasoning. Anyone remember these? I loved them :(

  3. I wonder why they change the name from the American name Goldfish to Finz.
