After recently discovering Pocky sticks by Glico I've become a big fan of the brand. They're a lovely snack, not too heavy or chocolatey, and light enough to eat a couple without feeling too guilty! I especially love the more indulgent Crush range and I've previously reviewed the Green Tea Crush and Coffee Cookie Crush (featuring Snoopy!).
These come in larger boxes with six packs each with four sticks. The packaging is superb and very elegant.
The pretzel sticks are liberally studded with pieces of almond in a milk chocolate. From the outset they have a delicious scent - all rich chocolate nuttiness. The chocolate itself is rich and quite dark, a lovely background for the crushed almonds. What's fantastic about the nut pieces is that they don't just have a vague nutty flavour - they're unmistakeably almonds. There is also lots of crunchy texture to these sticks, mainly from the inner biscuit base, but also from the outer nuts. Overall, I found these Almond Crush to be full of flavour and completely delicious - perfect for any almond fans.
This product was very kindly sent to me by Oyatsu Cafe for review but all views are my own.
