Just a quick post with a few Christmas themed biscuits I spotted in Marks & Spencer this weekend (sorry about the blurry photos below!).
Christmas Pudding Cookies: This is such a great idea from M&S, making a cookie inspired by Christmas pudding. Even though they contain raisins (so no one else in my family will eat them apart from me) I'm sure I'll still be tempted to pick up a pack nearer to Christmas!
Cranberry & Chocolate Jaffa Cakes: I did however, already purchase a pack of these Cranberry flavoured Jaffa Cakes. Even though I wasn't overly impressed by their summer Peach & Passion Fruit jaffa cakes,I couldn't resist picking up this new flavour. Review coming soon!
Clementine Flavour Teacakes: I love that M&S has put a Christmas twist on several of their popular biscuits. I'm not a fan of teacakes but I wonder if the clementine flavour will make a difference in these? They also had packs of Redcurrant Puffs in the same red Christmas packaging, but I'm not sure if those are new.
Nespresso Compatible Coffee Capsules: And just a quick heads up for any Nespresso owners. M&S are selling their own brands of Nespresso compatible coffee capsules. There were an impressive five different varieties in my local store: House Decaf, M&S Café, Columbian, Lazy Weekend, and Classic. I'd quite like to try the M&S Café ones!
If you've tried any of the products above then please leave a comment below with your thoughts on them.
I saw the christmas pudding cookies and really need to try them. I remember a few years ago they did a christmas pudding flavour yoghurt which was so yummy, wish they'd bring it back for this christmas
ReplyDeleteOh wow the yogurt sounds good too, I must have missed that back then.
DeleteI think a company called The Collective Dairy had Christmas Pudding yogurts in their range last year (at Sainsbury's). Maybe they'll be back this year?
Christmas, christmas everywhere! World is crazy :D
ReplyDeleteI'm getting in the Christmas spirit early this year too!! :)
Deletedon't like the sound of the jaffa cakes. but the clementine things maybe. altho i prefer mandarin things (can't find juice anywhere!).
ReplyDeletei assume 'lazy weekend' is a rip off of taylors lazy sunday (which is offically the best covffee ever and i could eat it with a spoon right out the bag) - my dad has a nespresso machine, but he has about 4 million capsules cos i bought them for him for xmas 2 years running and so did he, and he doesnt use it much because it's a faff (well it seems that way to me) - silly posh machines.
i've used an american kuerig, altho they are easier to use and the pods you can get are wild and wonderful - they dont actually make that great coffee (but i guess tahts not surprising). Why dont americans use kettles, it's so weird.
Ah that's a shame that your dad doesn't get on with the Nespresso machine. I'm absolutely hooked on mine and I find it okay to use. The american keurig machine sounds awesome to me - I like the idea of all the crazy flavours. That's one thing missing from the Nespresso.
DeleteAgreed about the kettle thing - I can't imagine no having a kettle in the kitchen!
Think I'll wait to read your review to see if these are any good as the summer flavours were pants!
ReplyDeleteYeah, they were really disappointing! Perfectly fine as jaffa cakes but no peach or passion fruit flavour at all.
DeleteM & S is amazing!!!
