These great looking Milka Cake & Choc and Choco Twist, made for the German and Austrian markets, are a delicious combination of cake and Alpine milk chocolate. They've been recently added to the impressive stock at Monster Sweets, and they kindly sent me a few boxes for review.
Both boxes open up easily to reveal the silver wrapped cakes within. There are five cakes in each box, all individually wrapped.
The Milka Cake & Choc has a distinctive look on the underside with it's six segments, which is the image shown on the box. It reminded me a little bit of a Lego brick!
Once it's turned right side up, it's a lovely looking, flat rectangular cake. Inside it has a chocolate sauce layer running through the middle and large chocolate chips along the bottom. I've found Milka products from the Continent to be a bit hit and miss but these cakes are firmly in the former category - they're absolutely delicious. The cake is buttery and super moist and the chocolate is flavourful with caramel undertones. The chocolate sauce is smooth and sweet whilst the chocolate chips add a little texture to the soft cake.
The Choco Twist are very similar to the previous Cake & Choc but with a few differences. The main one is that they are actually more cakey! They're like a mini loaf cake, with lots of moist sponge cake to enjoy. It's similar to a good quality Madeleine cake in flavour, very buttery but not greasy. The chocolate chips are again large and full of chocolately flavour. We all absolutely loved these cakes, the classic combination of flavours are just perfect here, and I highly recommend them!
Monster Sweets kindly sent me this product for an honest review but all views expressed are my own.

Glad you were able to review this one, Miss Katherine, they look AMAZINGGGGG....you really can't go wrong with cake and chocolate, or even cake and bread for that matter haha, combination is just perfect. They kind of remind me by looking at them like a pain au choclat or a brioche. Great review though, I am now drooling with you epic food porn piccies :P
