Furula Green Tea Cookies Review

A few weeks ago I reviewed the delicious Pocky Green Tea Chocolate Crush. These were chocolate covered Pocky sticks that were embedded with crushed green tea cookies. Trying these made me eager to find some actual green tea cookies, and luckily enough I soon spotted these biscuits in a local Asian grocery shop.

Inside the box is a fairly basic plastic tray filled with 10 biscuits. The biscuits are a dark golden colour, with an intricate lattice pattern. They're sandwiched with quite a thin layer of green tea filling.

The biscuits themselves have a good crunchy texture and are quite simply flavoured, similar to a Rich Tea biscuit but slightly more buttery and golden. The layer of filling is very sweet and creamy, with no bitterness, but still manages to have a distinctive green tea flavour. Funnily enough they tasted good dunked in a cup of tea, just not a green tea - the average black tea with milk kind!
