Review: Tesco Limited Edition Mozzarella & Garlic Pesto Crumb Pizza

Currently on half price offer at Tesco, this Italian Stonebaked Mozzarella with a Garlic Pesto Crumb Pizza, is part of a new Limited Edition range of pizzas at Tesco. The other varieties are; Pepperoni with a Chilli Crumb Pizza, and a Black Pepper, Chicken & Parmesan Pizza.

I don't usually go for meaty pizzas and this mozzarella and garlic pesto crumb looked like a interesting twist on a classic margherita pizza.

The pizza itself only took 10 minutes to cook and is quite small but decent enough for two people. It has a generous amount of cheese and also of the crumb topping, which have a golden breadcrumb appearance.

The Garlic Pesto Crumb had a lovely crunchy texture once cooked, which made for quite an unusual pizza topping. The flavour itself however, was quite a standard basil and garlic combination. This wasn't quite a pesto flavour as such, more of a herby breadcrumb. It still tasted great with the delicious pizza base, and the crispy texture of the crumb topping certainly makes this a more interesting prospect than a regular cheesy pizza.
