New Covent Garden Soup Co - Pumpkin Ghoulash

A quick review of this new soup of the month, Pumpkin Ghoulash, from New Covent Garden Soup Co. It's made up of a medley of vegetables; tomatoes (11%), carrots, potatoes, pumpkin (8%), onions, cabbage and mixed green and red peppers, along with other ingredients such as vegetable stock, salt, garlic and spices.

The main flavours here are from the tomatoes and peppers combined with an added depth from the addition of smoked paprika and cayenne pepper. It reminded me of a tomato soup mixed with a traditional root vegetable soup. I couldn't really detect much of the pumpkin flavour, which was slightly disappointing, but the overall flavour was pleasant enough, even though it's nothing special. I would have preferred much more of the pumpkin, especially considering the name of the soup.
