Nature's Path Organic 'Nice and Nobbly' Granola Bars

Nature's Path are best known for their extensive range of organic gluten-free cereal. They've now created a range of granola bars called 'Nice and Nobbly' that are ideal for gluten-free snacking on the go. There are two varieties available; Trail Mix and Dark Choc Chip, and I was sent a few boxes, containing 5 granola bars, of each flavour to review.

Nice and Nobbly Dark Choc Chip Granola Bar: This is a combination of fair trade dark chocolate chips, with organic and gluten-free oats and whole grains. They have a very appetising appearance with lots of oats packed together and a sprinkling of the dark chocolate chips. I enjoyed the texture of these granola bars, they are nicely chewy and not too tough or sticky. The flavour here is like a cereal bar crossed with a flapjack, with the same oaty and sweet syrup as the base notes. The chocolate chips add a lovely cocoa flavour which suits the oaty background. My husband was a big fan of these Dark Choc Chip granola bars, he found them to be very filling and enjoyable as a mid-morning snack.

Nice and Nobbly Trail Mix Granola Bars: These are a mix of organic cranberries, almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, dried coconut, flax seeds and gluten-free oats. I absolutely loved these delicious Trail Mix bars. They're packed full of all the lovely goodies listed, and I especially enjoyed the juicy cranberry pieces. However, my favourite aspect about these Trail Mix bars was the gorgeous cinnamon spice which sweetly flavours the oats. I always love the combination of oats and cinnamon, and in these Nature's Path granola bars it creates a delicious background flavour for all the other traditional trail mix ingredients.

The 'Nice and Nobbly' range comes in handy boxes of 5 from Tesco.com, Waitrose and good independent health food stores, with an RRP of £2.99. Take a look at www.naturespath.co.uk for more details.
