Chocmotif - Personalised Chocolate Cards & A Competition!

I'm so excited about this review for Chocmotif Personalised Chocolate Cards! Please keep reading until the end of this post for details of a competition for THREE of my readers to each win TWO personalised cards worth £5.99 each! There's also a 20% discount code for all my readers! Glasgow based company Chocmotif have created their own innovative and patented printing process, which allows full colour (and edible!) images to be printed directly onto chocolate. The results are unique chocolate cards for all occasions that combine a greeting card and gift in one. The chocolate used is finest Belgian, and is all nut and gluten free, and also suitable for vegetarians.

Chocmotif very kindly allowed me to created two cards from their Personalised Chocolate Cards range. There are fourteen different templates to start from, such as a classic KEEP CALM design, a wanted posted and a chocolate billboard. Choosing a template and design was an enjoyable process but I actually let my brother choose the final design so that it would be a bit of a surprise. The cards arrived very well packed in cardboard boxes with extra cardboard padding. Each card then comes in it's own thick envelope with useful spaces for names (photo above).

Inside the envelope the chocolate sits within a greetings card. The designs are bright and colourful, although slightly dated, and there area variety on the site to choose from.

Once the card is opened up prepare for lots and lots of smiles! Seriously, don't they look fab?! I must be a big kid at heart because I was so excited opening these up. I really do think that anyone would love to receive a personalised card like this, whether it be for a birthday or any other occasion!

My brother used the Universal Rectangle design for the Grocery Gems logo on the left, which looks fabulous. I can imagine this would be great for putting a favourite photo on chocolate! Then he also created a funny Wanted Poster with a "Dangerous if Hungry" tagline - yep that sums me up! It was very easy to do using the Wanted Poster template and instead of using a photo of me, he used this cartoon image from my About Me page. The end designs both looked amazing on the finished chocolate - the printing is so clear and vibrant, and it's of an impressively high quality.

I have to admit it pained me to actually break the chocolate card so I could taste the chocolate - the cards literally look too good to eat! However, for the sake of the review I had to do it, and once I tasted the chocolate I was pleasantly surprised. The Belgian chocolate is decent enough, made with 30% cocoa solids, that is very sweet and creamy, with a rich cocoa flavour. Overall, these cards were fantastic and I highly recommend them for any special occasion!

  3. I was intrigued by this review and recently ordered a Chocmotif card. Too bad that after over 2 weeks of waiting, the card still hasn't arrived! I have written to Chocmotif's Customer Service 3 times and still have not received a response.....Do they even have Customer Service?!?!?! I am extremely disappointed; this looked like a great idea, however my advice would be to order from Cocoagraph.com - much better designs and great service!!!!! Or any other valid company would also do, for that matter......

    1. Hi Nevena, thank you for your comment and letting me know about this problem. I obviously had a good experience with Chocmotif last year but I wouldn't want to keep this review here if this is the way they treat their customers.

Have you tried to contact them via Twitter or Facebook? I know you shouldn't have to do that but maybe it's worth a try. Keep me updated about whether you get a response from them. The email I have for them is: info@chocmotif.com
